What is the Devonshire Block Watch?
The Devonshire Block Watch program fights the isolation and separation that crime feeds upon by forging bonds among area residents. It helps reduce burglaries and other crime, and improves relations between the neighbors themselves, and the police that serve the Devonshire area.
The active involvement and participation of Devonshire area residents in the Block Watch Program will:
- Increase Personal Safety
- Increase Crime Awareness
- Increase Reporting of Suspicious Activity
- Increase Cohesiveness and Community spirit
- Increase the Safety and Protection of Personal Property by increasing knowledge of security measure
- Reduce Crime Rates
- Reduce the Fear of Crime
